SMEs Development Authority signs MoU with Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait

Muscat: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait with the aim of supporting small and medium enterprises by providing a set of specialized development programs for the Authority’s employees, owners of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs to achieve growth, expansion, sustainability, raise administrative, financial and technical competencies and transfer knowledge in establishing, managing and developing their enterprises.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority by H.E. Halima bint Rashid Al-Zariah, head of the authority, and on behalf of the Arab Planning Institute in the State of Kuwait, by Dr. Badr Othman Malallah, director general of the institute.

Under the memorandum, the institute will offer a set of programs aimed at qualifying a number of start-up owners and entrepreneurs that are designed to build the capacity of participants to launch pioneering projects and build knowledge for owners of small and medium enterprises and employees of the authority, and to provide a variety of specialized training programs, advisory and research services, and technical support services. Logistics in all its forms.

The memorandum also includes the cooperation of both the authority and the institute in the field of advisory services in general, especially those related to small and medium enterprises, and the implementation of discussion workshops, forums, conferences and public lectures that serve the sector.
