Muscat: Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has summoned and taken legal measures against practitioners of unlicensed marketing, promotion on website and social media
In a statement MoCIIP said: The Ministry notes that some marketing and promotion practitioners on websites and social media carry out the activity without obtaining a license from the Ministry, as well as violating some other provisions of the regulations, such as not stating the license number in their electronic accounts, violating public morals, and not adhering to the rules of ethical behavior and standards of honesty.
Note that the Ministry recently summoned the violators and took the necessary measures.
Accordingly, the Ministry stresses the necessity of obtaining a license before practicing the activity and adhering to the requirements of the regulations regulating the practice of marketing and promotion activities on websites and social media, issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (619) / (2022), in order to avoid exposure to any Legal liability.
