    • Sohar Flour Mills opens grain storage silos at Sohar Port

    Sohar: The Sohar Flour Mills – one of the investments of the Oman Flour Mills – will celebrate on Wednesday the opening of grain storage silos at Sohar Port at a cost OMR  21 million.

    The opening ceremony will be held by His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al-Youssef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

    The storage capacity of the project is 160,000 tons, and it is considered one of the strategic national projects. It works to increase the absorptive capacity of the crops to ensure that there are sufficient quantities to cover the consumption of the Sultanate of Oman for long periods.

    The project stems from the responsibility undertaken by Omani mills in enhancing food security and securing a strategic stock of grain.
