Sohar Free Zone continues to pave the way for companies to access global markets, as it recently introduced new incentives and benefits to allow them to realize their expansion plans.
Until the end of 2022 AD, new and existing tenants can obtain general trade licenses for a period of one, two or three years with competitive prices of up to 50 percent of the usual cost.
In cooperation with the office service provider, Corporate Park Company, Sohar Free Zone allows the business community to rent office space in the modern corporate complex at competitive prices ranging from 30 to 45 percent for a period of up to three years.
Through these incentives, Sohar Free Zone seeks to open promising horizons that will attract the most prominent investors from various sectors, and provide an opportunity for existing companies to enhance their expansion plans.

The project continues to consolidate its position as a logistics gateway to global trade thanks to its strategic location in the shipping lanes from East to West, and a regional transit point for expansion in various African and Asian markets, in the Middle East, Europe and North America.

The free zone is connected to Sohar port, which provides companies with a non-stop customs clearance service and a customs transport corridor between the port and the free zone, allowing goods to reach their destination in less than 14 minutes.

Companies can now obtain a general trade license and all required permits, licenses and visas electronically through the platform to effectively establish and operate their companies.
Sohar Free Zone offers investors a full list of benefits and incentives, including full exemption from import and export duties, complete exemption from income tax, and corporate tax exemption for up to 25 years.
Through its close cooperation with the Companies Complex Company, Sohar Free Zone seeks to facilitate the business community’s access to a range of modern facilities and services through annual subscriptions and obtaining competitive fees of up to 45 percent over the usual cost.
