    Muscat: Sohar International Announces Resignation of the Chairman & appointment of new Chairman & Deputy Chairman.

    In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange the company said: “The board of directors (“Board”) of Sohar International Bank SAOG (“Sohar International”) announces that its chairman, Mr. Mohamed Mahfoudh Al Ardhi tendered his resignation from the Board today, the 21st of December 2023, and the Board accepted the resignation, during its meeting held today. Noting that the resignation will be effective from the 1* of January 2024.

    The Board expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Al Ardhi for his significant contributions during his tenure as the Chairman of Sohar International. Under Mr. Al Ardhi’s wise and inspiring leadership, the Bank was able to cross historic milestones in its growth journey and make great achievements. The Board wishes Mr. Al Ardhi every success in his endeavors.

    The Board also resolved to appoint Mr. Said Mohamed Said Al-Aufi, who has been the Deputy Chairman, as its new Chairman and Mr. Tareq Mohamed Sultan Al Mugheiry as the Deputy Chairman, effective from the 1” of January 2024.

    The Board also wishes the new Chairman and Deputy Chairman every success in their new roles to continue the Bank’s journey of growth.
