Muscat: Sohar International discontinue merger discussions with Bank Nizwa for time being
In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange the company said: Further to the disclosures made on the 23™ November 2021; 19″ of January 2022 and the 16″ of June 2022 about the proposed merger between Sohar International Bank SAOG (“Sohar International”) and Bank Nizwa SAOG (“Bank Nizwa”). The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Sohar International decided to discontinue discussions of the proposed merger with the Board of Nizwa for the time being, The Board shall update the market and the shareholders of any material developments in a timely manner in line with applicable regulations.
