Sohar Nights Winter Camp begins

Sohar: The activities of the “Sohar Winter Nights Camp” began in the Sohar Wilayat of the North Al Batinah Governorate, organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism as part of its campaign (Discover Oman), and will continue until the 14th of January.

Hassan bin Sulaiman Al Jabri, Director of the Heritage and Tourism Department in North Al Batinah Governorate, explained that the idea of ​​​​the “Sohar Winter Nights Camp” activities came to coincide with the active winter season, to provide services and activities at the camping site, which has more than 100 temporary winter camps in the state of Sohar, in order to achieve Tourist attractions during the current vacation, with tourism and heritage activities extending over five days.

He added: The activities include various theater performances, where two theatrical performances are held daily, in addition to the presence of a tourist information center in the camp, corners for productive families with 15 corners for food, agricultural and honey products, and corners accompanying camping equipment stores, Bedouin tent activities, and a section for children’s toys.

The camp was opened under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Balushi, Deputy Governor of Sohar, in the presence and wide participation of the community and institutions of the government and private sectors.
