Sohar: The Sohar Open Chess Competition Committee announced the winners of the competition at its three levels (general, under 14 years old, and under 10 years old), which was held as part of the “Sohar Winter” activities.
Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Muqbali, a member of the organizing committee of the competition, explained that the competition witnessed competition by all 25 players of different ages, divided into the three categories of the competition.

The player Walid bin Hamed Al-Jabri won the first place at the general level, while the player Mulham bin Turki Al-Salhi won the first place for the category under the age of 14 years, while the player Abdullah bin Turki Al-Salhi won the first place for the category under the age of 10 years.
Al-Muqbali indicated that the aim of the competition is to introduce the game of chess, introduce the participants to its laws, and discover talents in this game.
