Sohar: Sohar Port and Free Zone signed three major agreements to enhance its comprehensive maritime services, thus contributing to enhancing local added value and growth of the local maritime industry, and supporting the national economy.

The first agreement with Global Tank Solutions sought to draw up a transformative plan in ship tank cleaning services in the port, which will enhance the competitive advantage of local companies in the maritime shipping sector. By providing advanced automated cleaning technology, automated and non-human entry tank cleaning systems, and providing favorable opportunities for local capacity development.

Sohar Port joined Global Oil Resources in a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing marine fuel transportation services and accelerating the provision of promising opportunities for local companies to interact with large companies in the field of logistics services and supply chains for marine fuel. Global Oil Resources will be able to provide Fuel for ships calling at Sohar Port using light diesel and sulfur-free bunker fuel.

While the third agreement sought to provide a comprehensive and integrated set of medical services for sailors, a cooperation agreement was signed with the American Medical Center, in partnership with Star Lake Medical Services, and it is hoped that this cooperation will contribute to stimulating the growth of the local health sector by increasing the demand for supplies and services. And medical expertise.
