Al Buraimi: The Al Buraimi Governorate celebrated today the inauguration of solar power stations for the auxiliary wells of Falaj Al Buraimi and Sa’ra, which came with the support of OQ and the Office of the Wali of Al Buraimi.
The ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, and His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Water Resources.
The project included five solar power stations, represented by the Zaroub station with a production capacity of 80 kilowatts, the market station with a production capacity of 18 kilowatts, the Sharia station with a production capacity of 12 kilowatts, the Ghuraifa North station with a production capacity of 23 kilowatts, and the Ghuraifa South station with a capacity of 23 kilowatts. Productivity reached 12 kW.
Sheikh Dr. Faisal bin Saleh Al-Maskari, Deputy Wali of Al-Buraimi, said: “The project is one of the promising achievements that calls for pride and honor, not only in what has been achieved, but also in the determination and the distinguished energies of the people of Al-Buraimi, which were the reason for its realization and bringing it to light.
Talib bin Ahmed Al-Jabri, agent of Falaj Sa’ra, said: The project will contribute to reducing the cost of electricity bills for wells and power outages, in addition to giving continuity and permanence to the revival and operation of aflaj with renewable solar energy. At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources honored everyone who contributed to the implementation of the project in its various stages.
