South Al Batinah Governor’s Office approves the establishment of tourist forum

Rustaq: The Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah approved, during a meeting with the governors of the governorate and members of the Shura and Municipal Council in the governorate today, the establishment of a tourist forum entitled “Experience South Al Batinah” on the first of next March, and it will continue for ten days.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Himyar Al Malek Al Shehhi, Governor of South Al Batinah, confirmed that the activities of the forum include the recreational tourism aspect and many different programs and activities.

The forum will include a number of activities, including: a sand marathon, a walk between mountains and sand dunes, which is witnessing a great turnout by citizens, residents and tourists, a classic car show, and marine events in the states of Barka and Musannah that include beach entertainment games, as well as camel and equestrian competitions, as well as Shooting competitions at the shooting range in the Wilayat of Nakhal.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Himair Al Malik Al Shehhi, Governor of South Al Batinah, said that this forum is the first of its kind in the governorate, and will contribute to the involvement of a number of institutions and authorities concerned with the governorate, and various groups in society in order to enhance national identity, encourage good values, preserve heritage and promote the importance of tourism. In supporting the economy, as well as the importance of culture and its role in sustainable human development.

It is worth noting that the activities of the recreational tourism forum in the Al Batinah South Governorate will be held in three locations: the sands of Khibbat Al Qaadan, the port area in the Wilayat of Al Musanna, as well as the Wilayat of Barka.
