Nakhal: The Municipal Council of South Al Batinah Governorate reviewed a number of service and development-related topics concerning the governorate’s wilayats during its periodic meeting held today in Nakhal.

The meeting was chaired by Eng. Masoud Said Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah.

During the session, the Council reviewed statistics and performance indicators related to services provided by the Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate for the year 2025. Members also examined designs for several development projects scheduled for implementation during the coming period.

The meeting further discussed a governorate-level initiative aimed at afforestation in residential neighbourhoods, particularly in areas outside private land plots adjacent to water drainage channels, with the objective of improving the urban environment and enhancing sustainability.

In addition, the Council studied a request to issue ownership deeds for a number of historical sites in the Wilayat of Barka, as part of efforts to preserve cultural heritage and regulate property documentation.

The agenda also included a review of requests related to the paving of roads in various residential neighbourhoods across the wilayats of the governorate, in line with plans to improve infrastructure and enhance service delivery to citizens.
