Nakhl: The number of permits issued for tourism investment projects in the South Al Batinah Governorate increased by 48.7 percent during the period from January to October 2025, reaching 174 permits, compared to 117 permits issued during the same period in 2024.
According to updated statistics issued by the Heritage and Tourism Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, this growth reflects the increasing attractiveness of the governorate as a destination for tourism investment, particularly in eco-tourism and hospitality projects.
The statistics showed that the total number of eco-lodges in the governorate reached 48 facilities, distributed across several wilayats. The Wilayat of Barka accounted for the highest number with 33 eco-lodges, followed by the Wilayat of Al Musanaa with 10, the Wilayat of A’Rustaq with 2, and the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil with 1 eco-lodge.
