Sports Ministry honours Omani player for winning first medal in Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships

His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, received the national taekwondo team player Al Muhannad bin Tawfiq Al Balushi for achieving the first bronze medal in the Asian Junior Championships in the 41 kg category in Vietnam.

More than 350 players representing 35 countries participated in this tournament, which is considered one of the strongest at the international level. In it, Al Muhannad Al Balushi won the bronze medal after the player’s outstanding performance in the competition, to be the first medal in the history of the Sultanate of Oman in Taekwondo.
