Salalah: A surgical team at the Sultan Qaboos Hospital (SQH) in Salalah saves 16-year-old patient from Yemen
The Directorate General of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate said: “A surgical team in the Vascular Surgery Department at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah managed to save the life of a sixty-year-old patient coming from Yemen who was suffering from continuous hemoptysis with high fever and shortness of breath and her condition was diagnosed after conducting the necessary tests and two tubes were installed to remove the infiltration, then a covered stent was installed from the thigh through a catheter and using local anesthesia to stop the bleeding and repair the aneurysm.
It should be noted that the Department of Vascular Surgery was able to perform a similar operation in the last period and was crowned with success.”
