SQU, ICESCO sign agreement to establish ISESCO Chair in Machine Learning for Remote Sensing

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) today signed a cooperation agreement to establish an ISESCO chair in the field of machine learning for remote sensing and geographic information systems.

The agreement was signed by HH Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, SQU Vice-Chancellor, and Dr. Salim Mohammed Al Malik, ISESCO Director-General.

The agreement aims at exchanging knowledge and expertise between the two sides, besides promoting development in ISESCO fields of competence.

All parties can benefit from cooperation between professors, researchers and university administrative heads. The establishment of the chair is in line with the academic role of Sultan Qaboos University. – ONA
