State Council discusses plans to reduce traffic congestion in Oman

Muscat: The Special Committee formed by the State Council to study the “traffic congestion” proposal held its third meeting on Tuesday, for the third annual session of the seventh period, headed by Honorable Dr. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Awadiya, and in the presence of the honored members of the committee.

During the meeting, the committee started the program of hosting to enrich the study with the views of specialists and those interested. In this regard, it hosted Salah bin Khalifa Al Shukaili, who is in charge of managing the work of the Assistant Director General of Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

The committee reviewed with the Assistant Director General of Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology the visions and plans of the ministry to reduce traffic congestion, ease of movement and communication and smooth traffic flow.
