Student Companies Exhibition launched in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department in the Governorate of South A’Sharqiyah, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Education in the Governorate of South A’Sharqiyah, organized the Student Companies Exhibition (Al Raed Al-Saghir), with the support of the Oman LNG Company, and targeted members of student companies in the governorate’s schools.

The exhibition, which lasts for four days, aims to; Two days in the Wilayat of Sur and two days in Ja’alan in the Wilayat of Ja’alan Bani Bu Hasan – to instill a culture of entrepreneurship among the participating students, to provide the participating students with some entrepreneurial skills, to open a marketing window for student companies, to view various projects, ideas and innovations in the field of entrepreneurship, and to encourage a culture of self-employment, And adopt different student creativity.

The opening of the exhibition, which was held in the Golden Hall in the Wilayat of Sur, was sponsored by Anwar bin Hamad Al-Sanani, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate.

The exhibition included many student companies in various fields, such as sewing punches, meals, sweets, and beverages, and some products specialized in the coffee industry of all kinds, growing seedlings and plant products, henna posters, canvas paintings, candle making, handicrafts such as medals and bracelets, perfumery, and event cards. In addition to some companies specialized in wood industries.

Rahma bint Ali Al Daoudia, Assistant Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, said: The exhibition includes (40) student companies, with the participation of (124) male and female students from various schools in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate.
