Al Rustaq: In cooperation with Al Rustaq Hospital, a specialized medical team from Khoula Hospital successfully performed a lower limb arterial bypass surgery on a patient suffering from severe circulatory insufficiency, preventing the need for amputation.
Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Aufi, Consultant Vascular and Accident Surgeon at Khoula Hospital, stated that the success of the procedure reflects the competence and readiness of the medical and supporting teams at Al Rustaq Hospital.
He noted that such procedures contribute to improving patients’ quality of life and reducing complications associated with peripheral vascular diseases.
The operation highlights ongoing cooperation and integration among healthcare institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, supporting the delivery of specialized medical services across different governorates.
It also underscores the importance of decentralizing healthcare services to ensure patients receive advanced treatment closer to their place of residence, in line with the country’s commitment to high standards of medical care.
