Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre Opens Entries for “Iqra” Reading Contest 2026

Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science today launched the 15th edition of the “Iqra” Reading Contest for young people for the year 2026, as part of its efforts to promote reading and develop knowledge acquisition skills among younger generations.

The organizing committee announced that registration for the contest opened today and will continue until 1 October 2026, which is also the deadline for submitting summaries and receiving entries.

The contest seeks to enhance students’ skills in reading, summarizing and text analysis, while contributing to building a knowledgeable generation capable of keeping pace with contemporary developments and events.
