Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition qualifiers continue in Ibri

Ibri: The preliminary qualifying committee for the 32nd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition continues its work today at the Ibri Centre in Al Dhahirah Governorate, with the participation of 113 male and female contestants in various levels of the competition.

The competition, which is supervised by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court, is held in 25 centres distributed across the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The total number of registered participants in the seven levels of the competition for this session reached 1,790 male and female contestants. The competition includes the following levels: Level 1 /memorizing the entire Holy Quran/, Level 2 /memorizing 24 consecutive parts/, Level 3 /memorizing 18 consecutive parts/, Level 4 /memorizing 12 consecutive parts for those aged 25 years and under/, Level 5 /memorizing 6 consecutive parts for those aged 14 years and under/, Level 6 /memorizing 4 consecutive parts for those aged 10 years and under/, while Level 7 /memorizing two consecutive parts for those aged 7 years and under/.

The competition aims to encourage Omanis to memorize the Holy Quran and adhere to its teachings, create a Quranic generation that carries the Book of God and masters its recitation, and enhance the presence of the Sultanate of Oman in international Quranic competitions.
