Sultan Qaboos University Hospital says Employees and Visitors Must Wear Masks 

Internal instructions issued by Sultan Qaboos University Hospital stipulated that all employees and visitors of the university hospital must wear face masks, starting today, Monday, January 2, 2023.

The hospital administration noticed an increase in the spread of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) by receiving patients in the past few days, and the following internal instructions stated: “To avoid the spread of the virus among hospital workers and patients, it was decided to take precautionary measures in the meantime, and to receive patients infected with the Corona virus (pediatrics and adult patients).”

It also included that all employees and visitors must enter the hospital from the main entrance to the hospital, and visitors and employees are not allowed to use the emergency department to enter the hospital.

“The Infection Control Department, in cooperation with the hospital administration, will continue to monitor the situation to determine the next course of action,” the statement added.
