Sultan Qaboos University won second place at the Shorouk Festival for the Creativity of Media Students

The Department of Media at the College of Arts and Social Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University won second place in the Department of Radio and Television Projects with a TV program, in the category of songs and operetta, at the Al-Shorouk Festival for the Creativity of Media Students, in its seventh session, which is held in cooperation with the Federation of Universities. Arabic, in the course of the artist, Samira Ahmed.

It is noteworthy that the winning project was prepared by students: “Al-Hanouf Al-Farsi, Al-Khattab Al-Sulaymani, Ayman Al-Rashdi”, in the radio and television major at Sultan Qaboos University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Kindi, Professor of Journalism and Head of the Media Department, College of Arts and Social Sciences, and Dr. Ihab Hamdi Assistant professor of radio and television in the department.

44 universities participated in the festival this year, including 16 Egyptian public universities, 19 private Egyptian universities, and 9 Arab universities. Animation, songs and operetta.

A group of Egyptian governmental and private universities competed, in addition to the distinguished participation of Arab universities, including: “Faculty of Mass Communication, Al-Aqsa University in Palestine, Faculty of Mass Communication, Petra University, Jordan, College of Mass Communication, Gulf University in Bahrain, College of Communication, University of Fujairah, UAE, Department of Mass Communication, College of Arts, from the University of Taiz, Yemen, College of Communication, University of Sharjah, UAE, Department of Mass Communication, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University in the Sultanate of Oman, Al-Khwarizmi College in the UAE, and Department of Communication and Media at Taibah University in Saudi Arabia.
