The Main Military Committee for Managing Emergency Situations confirms the readiness of the Sultan’s Armed Forces to deal with the effects of the weather condition
Muscat: The main military committee for managing emergency situations in the Sultan’s Armed Forces confirmed its full readiness to deal with the weather condition (Akhdul Al-Ikram), which is expected to affect the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman.
During its meeting today, the Main Military Committee for Managing Emergency Situations reviewed the developments in the weather situation.
The meeting was chaired by Brigadier General Hamid bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces for Operations and Planning, Chairman of the Main Military Committee for Managing Emergency Situations of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, and in the presence of members of the committee who represent the Chief of Staff.
The Sultan’s Armed Forces, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Sultan’s Special Force, the Engineering Services of the Ministry of Defence, the National Survey Authority, and the Medical Services of the Armed Forces.
The Sultan’s Armed Forces have confirmed the use of all capabilities and capabilities to deal with this weather condition and provide various forms of support and support to government agencies and other sectors. This is within the framework of the National Emergency Management Committee’s plan. During the meeting, the committee was also briefed on all the preparations and measures that have been taken since the announcement of the weather situation (Akhdul Al-Ikram), as the military subcommittees were activated in the governorates expected to be affected by the weather situation to be on alert and readiness.
The readiness of all formations and bases was also determined during the meeting. And units in the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other departments of the Ministry of Defense to provide support and assistance to citizens and residents according to the requirements of the situation. The Main Military Committee for Emergency Management confirms its continued follow-up of developments in the weather situation and the full readiness of all formations and units deployed on the field as required and developments in the situation in accordance with the plan of the National Committee for Emergency Management.
