

Muscat: The Sultan’s Armed Forces confirmed their complete readiness and harnessing their capabilities to contribute to dealing with the tropical situation that the Sultanate is expected to go through as of the 6 August Thursday of this month.
This comes within the framework of the efforts of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and all other departments in the Ministry of Defense to provide support and assistance to all government agencies, including military, security, and civil authorities, and other sectors of the Sultanate.
The Sultan’s Armed Forces have taken all aspects of preparations since the beginning of the announcement of this tropical situation, by activating their plans and developing them according to this tropical case to provide support and assistance.
Whereas, the Sultan’s armed forces represented by the Royal Oman Army, the Royal Omani Air Force and the Royal Oman Navy were directed, in addition to the engineering services at the Ministry of Defense to provide aid and assistance to citizens and residents in the governorates and states that are expected to be affected by the tropical weather situation, through sub-military committees to deal with emergency situations.

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) issued statement No (1) on the weather situation in the Arabian Sea, and stated that the latest analysis and numerical weather predictions of the National Multi Hazards Early warning center predicts a chance of tropical low-pressure formation in the north-east Arabian Sea on 6th August 2020 until Monday 10th August 2020.
