Supreme committee issues new decision, limits 50% staff for government offices

Muscat: The Supreme Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus, Covid 19, issued new decisions

First: Reducing the number of employees who are required to attend workplaces in the units of the state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons to 50% of the total number of employees, provided that employees who are required not to come to workplaces perform the work entrusted to them by the remote work system .

Second: Postponing the holding of all conferences and exhibitions.

Third: Postponing the establishment of activities of a public nature or holding them without a public presence, with the participants in them abide by all the controls established, such as proof of receiving vaccination and other controls.

Fourth: Not holding Friday prayers, and continuing to perform the five daily prayers in mosques and mosques, provided that the number of worshipers does not exceed 50% of the capacity, in accordance with the controls announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in advance in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
