Muscat: Supreme Committee visits vaccination center in Salalah

In the statement ONA said: A number of Their Excellencies members of the Supreme Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus “Covid 19” headed by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, visit the immunization center at the Sultan Qaboos Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.

In order to see the progress of the vaccination process for the target groups within the national campaign for immunization against Covid 19.

His Excellency Sayyid Muhammad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, calls on the target groups to expedite receiving vaccination in light of the efforts made by the government represented by the Supreme Committee charged with examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).

His Excellency said in a statement to the Oman News Agency: “Unfortunately, we have lost many lives as a result of the slackness in taking vaccinations, as the Dhofar Governorate is the lowest governorate in the Sultanate in the turnout for vaccinations at 42 percent, and the rest of the provinces are above 80 percent, and for schools, the turnout has reached 15 percent.”
