Muscat: Supreme Committee will close the reopened activities if not adhering to the precautionary measures says Minister of Health

In a statement Oman news agency said: His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, confirms that the Supreme_Committee in charge of examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus Covid 19 is very keen to consider all aspects affected by this pandemic, whether economic, social or health.

His Excellency explained in a statement to the Oman News Agency and to the Sultanate of Oman Radio and Television that the epidemic continues as the numbers decreased before the Eid al-Fitr holiday, explaining that the gatherings that occurred during that period led to an increase in the numbers, expressing his hope that this rise would be temporary.

His Excellency stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to the precautionary measures, pointing out that the committee, in its statements, indicates that the activities that were opened will be closed again if the precautionary measures are not adhered to.

The Minister of Health expressed his hope that the numbers of Covid-19 infections will continue to decline in conjunction with the start of the expanded vaccination campaign, which will be in the coming days to reach community protection, stressing that this requires coverage of 60 to 70 percent of citizens and residents, said in the statement -ONA
