Muscat: The Supreme Judicial Council and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) discussed areas of cooperation, notably with a view to grooming qualified human resources.
The two sides envisaged the implementation of training programmes on intellectual property and intellectual property rights in Oman. They also exchanged views about establishing a database to regulate intellectual property applications.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Issa Hamad Al Azri, Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council, and Dr.Sherif Saadallah,Executive Directorof WIPO Academy.
The meeting elaborated on the academy’s establishment, its goals and its achievements.
The two sides underscored the role of the academy in consolidating national and international cooperation, spreading awareness and enhancing training on various intellectual property rights.-ONA
