Swiss president arrives in Oman

President Dr. Alain Berset of the Swiss Confederation and his spouse arrive in Oman on an official two-day visit.

Muscat: President Dr. Alain Berset of the Swiss Confederation and his spouse arrived in Muscat today on an official two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

Sayyid Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court led the welcoming party for the guest at the Royal Airport.

He was also received by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Madeeha Ahmed Al Shibani, Minister of Education, Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health (Head of the Mission of Honour), Mahmoud Hamad Al Hassani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Swiss Confederation, Dr. Thomas Oertle, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Sultanate of Oman and members of the Swiss Embassy in Muscat.

The President of the Swiss Confederation is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Dr. Thomas Oertle, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Sultanate of Oman, Ambassador Maya Tissafi, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Nora Kronig Romero, Head of the International Affairs Division and Vice-Director General of the Federal Office of Public Health, Ambassador Wolfgang Amadeus Brülhart, Swiss Special Envoy for the Middle East and a number of officials at the Swiss Confederation. – ONA
