Symposium on fish wealth in Oman’s Sadah

Sadah: A symposium was held today in the Wilayat of Sadah in the Governorate of Dhofar, entitled “Fish Wealth in the Wilayat of Sadah”, which included a number of educational and educational visual presentations for fishermen and the local community to preserve fish wealth and reduce wrong practices towards it.

The symposium began with a speech by Anwar bin Ahmed Fadel, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in the Wilayat of Sadah, in which he explained the importance of marine wealth and the economic revenues it represents for the state, stressing the need for concerted efforts by everyone to preserve it to ensure its sustainability for generations and the future.

The symposium included a number of working papers related to the fish sector and the fishermen community in the state, such as educating fishermen about the levels and denominations of the maritime borders, what can be avoided while sailing, in addition to the importance of lobster and abalone and how to preserve them as a national wealth with great economic return.

The event, which was carried out by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in the Wilayat of Sadah, was sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Darei, Governor of Sadah.
