    • Thailand ends PCR test for travelers: Oman embassy in Bangkok

    Muscat: The Thailand authorities ends the PCR examination on arrival and the first day of quarantine as of May 1, 2022.

    The Sultanate Embassy in Bangkok said: “The embassy of noted that the Thai authorities canceled the PCR examination upon arrival and the first day quarantine, provided that the self-test using antigen kits (ATK) is applied during the stay, as of 5/1/2022, and registration begins with the new conditions on 4/29/2022.”

    Unvaccinatd travelers would be welcomed if they presented proof of a negative RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before their trip.

    They would be quarantined for fie day, with another RT-PCR test on day 4 or 5. They would also be advised to do self-antigen testing during their stay.

    High-risk visitors would be quarantined for 5 days. The minimum Covid-19 insurance coverage for all foreign arrival would be US $10,000.

    The compulsory test under the Test and Go entry scheme could be lifted because statistics showed a very low infection rate among foreign arrivals only 0.46%, through Test and Go this month, Dr Taweesilp said.
