Muscat: The Ministry of endowment and religious affairs (MERA) issues statement of Not Sighting the Crescent of Month Jumada Al-Ula 1445 AH
In a statement MERAOman said: “According to astronomical findings, the moon of Monday 29th Rabi Al-Akher will set before sunset across all provinces of the Sultanate of Oman, making it impossible to sight the moon on this day. In line with scientific consensus, which does not accept reports that contradict established scientific facts and realities, especially those that deny the possibility of sighting the crescent, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs hereby announces that tomorrow, Tuesday (14th November 2023,) will mark the end of Rabi Al-Akher 1445 AH, and Wednesday (15th November 2023) will mark the beginning of Jumada Al-Ula 1445 AH.
We ask Allah Almighty to bless this month and the rest of the months, and may He grant us with success and prosperity.
