The Dawoodi Bohras of Oman celebrate Oman’s 54th National Day

Muscat: The 54th National Day in Oman was celebrated by the Dawoodi Bohra community in Muscat at their community center in Darsait. Distinguished Sheikhs and members from the local Omani community also graced the occasion with their presence. There was an overwhelming sense of heartwarming joy and pride when the Omani National anthem was played followed by a cake-cutting ceremony.

The event was a celebration of Omani heritage, pride and unity and served as a wonderful way to express patriotism towards the Sultanate of Oman. The core values of Omani culture—humility, kindness, and generosity—shone through in the celebratory event, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all those who were present.

The community congratulated His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the people of Oman on this auspicious Day and prayed to Allah Subhnahu for blessing the Sultanate, granting it enduring security, safety, stability, progress and prosperity under the reign of His Majesty.

The Dawoodi Bohras are a Muslim community hailing mainly from West India that have settled in over 40 nations across the globe. Beginning with a few members of the community who settled in Muscat in 1967, the Dawoodi Bohra community has steadily grown from strength to strength. Guided by their leader, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, Bohras are generally well educated, business people and qualified professionals in various fields.
