Thousands of Muslim pilgrims throw pebbles on the first day of Tashreeq

Makkah Al-Mukarramah: The pilgrims will witness today the first day of Tashreeq, and throwing the three Jamarat, starting with Jamrah Al-Soghra, Al-Wusta, and then Jamrat Al-Aqaba.

Walid bin Suleiman Al-Qari, deputy head of the Ifta and Religious Guidance delegation at the Omani Hajj Mission, said: On the eleventh day of Dhul-Hijjah, the pilgrims throw the three Jamarat after the sun has passed its zenith, explaining that some pilgrims perform the tawaaf al-ifaadah for those who did not do so on the tenth day.

He indicated that the days of al-Tashreeq are blessed days that require diligence in remembrance and supplication, citing the honorable prophetic hadiths that called for diligence in obedience and remembrance of God Almighty.

He added that the pilgrims will continue to spend the three nights of Tashreeq in Mina for those who are not in a hurry, while those who are in a hurry will spend the nights of the eleventh and twelfth of Dhul-Hijjah.
