Three-Day “Hadbin Winter” Festival Showcases Heritage of Sadh

“Hadbin Winter 2026” Kicks Off in Sadh to Boost Domestic Tourism

Sadh: The “Hadbin Winter 2026” events kicked off this evening in the Hadbin area of the Wilayat of Sadh, Dhofar Governorate, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Dura’i, Wali of Sadh. The events will continue for three days.

In a statement to the Oman News Agency, Dr. Al-Dura’i affirmed that organizing the Hadbin Winter events comes within efforts aimed at promoting domestic tourism and investing in the natural and heritage assets that the Wilayat abounds in. He pointed out that such events play an important role in stimulating economic activity, supporting productive families, and empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

He explained that the events constitute a community and cultural platform reflecting authentic Omani identity, while also offering integrated entertainment programs targeting various age groups. He stressed the importance of sustaining such initiatives in a manner that enhances the position of the Wilayat of Sadh as a promising winter tourism destination.

The Hadbin Winter 2026 program includes a wide range of cultural, entertainment, and social activities, such as a Heritage Corner, Crafts and Traditional Industries Corner, Productive Families Corner, and a Trade and Local Projects Corner. The events also feature folk arts performances, a theatre, children’s competitions, a recreational games area, as well as the Hadbin sand dune climb challenge for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

The events are organized under the supervision of the Office of the Wali of Sadh, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Heritage and Tourism in Dhofar Governorate, the Dhofar Municipality Services Center in Hadbin, the Sadh Charity Team, and several private-sector institutions, reflecting integration between government bodies, the private sector, and civil society institutions.

Held every evening at the public council in the Hadbin area, the events aim to revitalize winter tourism, encourage domestic travel, and highlight the natural and heritage characteristics of Hadbin, contributing to local economic growth and community empowerment.
