Registration Opens for ‘Together We Move Forward’
Muscat: The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that registration will begin tomorrow for participation in the sessions of the fourth edition of the “Together We Move Forward” Forum, and will continue until 28 December 2025.
The forum, scheduled to take place on 8–9 February 2026, aims to strengthen community partnership in decision-making and contribute to achieving national aspirations for progress and prosperity, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The forum’s agenda will include a series of discussion and dialogue sessions held over two consecutive days. These sessions will address topics selected by citizens during the electronic voting phase conducted in October 2025. Key themes include Oman Vision 2040: achievements and future prospects, investment aspirations in priority economic sectors, and the development of governorates and their role in promoting investment in manufacturing industries, tourism and the digital economy.
Additional sessions will focus on enhancing government services to improve productivity and competitiveness, as well as self-employment and entrepreneurship as pillars for building a productive national economy and a sustainable labour market.
The forum will also feature an in-depth dialogue session on the role of the Five-Year Development Plan and priority sectors in building a diversified and sustainable economy. Discussions will address the strategic vision of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, its underlying economic philosophy, mechanisms for accelerating the implementation of Oman Vision 2040, and the capacity of priority sectors to create added value, increase GDP and generate employment opportunities. The role of the private sector, local and foreign investment, and the transition toward an innovation-based economy will also be examined, alongside the key challenges and enablers.
Coinciding with the forum, the third edition of the “Ideas Makers” initiative will be launched, aiming to foster creativity and generate innovative solutions to development challenges. The forum will also be accompanied by an exhibition titled “Achievements of the Present and Visions of the Future.”
The General Secretariat noted that individuals wishing to attend the forum’s sessions or participate in the “Ideas Makers” competitions may register via the forum’s electronic platform, in accordance with the guidelines outlined on its official channels.
