Muscat: The total assets of Oman’s Islamic banks and windows combined increased by 9.8 percent to about OMR 6.7 billion at the end of April 2023 compared to the same period last year.
The total assets of the banking sector in the Sultanate of Oman, registering an increase of 16.6 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
Data issued by the Central Bank of Oman indicated that the total balance of financing granted by these units increased by 13.3 percent, to reach about OMR 5.6 billion.
Deposits with Islamic banks and windows increased by 11 percent; to reach about 5 billion Omani riyals by the end of April 2023.
