Tour of Oman 2024 stage 1 kicks off from Oman Across Ages Museum with a distance of 181.5 km

Muscat:  The 13th edition of “Tour of Oman 2024”  Stage 1 begins today Saturday (10 February 2024), in front of the Oman Across Ages Museum in the Al Dakhiliah Governorate, the stage will conclude in the Muscat Governorate, specifically in front of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), with a distance of 181.5 km.

The second stage (170.5) will begin on Sunday (11 February) from Al Sifah area to the Wilayat of Quriyat.

The third stage (169.5 km) will start on Monday (12 February) from the Wilayat of Bidbid and to the Eastern Mountain in the Wilayat of Al Hamra.

The fourth stage (207.5) will start on Tuesday (13 February) in front of Al Rustaq Fort in the South Al Batinah Governorate to the Yitti Heights in the Muscat Governorate.

The fifth and final stage (138.7km) will start on Wednesday (14 February) from the village of Imti in the Wilayat of Izki until the stage’s closing point in Al Jabal Al Akhdar.

The route of the tour is about (867.4km) of “Tour of Oman 2024” in the 13th edition across 5 stages, which promise sprints and challenging climbs.

Oman national team is participating for the third time in a row in the “Tour of Oman 2024” with a crew of seven cyclists namely; Abdulrahman bin Marhoon Al Yaqoubi, Mazin bin Saeed Al Riyami, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Wahibi, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Ghailani, Munthir bin Abdullah Al-Hassani, Said bin Ibrahim Al Rahbi and Faisal bin Khamis Al Maamari, which gives them a great opportunity to compete against the strongest international teams and cyclists.
