Travel Market 2026 Exhibition Opens in Muscat
Muscat: The second edition of the “Travel Market 2026” exhibition commenced today in Muscat Governorate. The event is organized by the Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate and will continue until 13 May 2026.
The exhibition features the participation of more than 50 companies and institutions specializing in travel and tourism, alongside banking institutions and airlines. It offers a range of services and promotional packages, including flight bookings, tourism offers, hotel accommodation and seasonal travel programmes coinciding with the upcoming summer holiday period.
The exhibition is being organized as part of the Ministry of Education’s efforts to enhance services and benefits provided to its employees. It also aims to familiarize visitors with the latest programmes and offers available through companies operating in the tourism sector, supporting tourism and economic activity in the Sultanate of Oman.
Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said that organizing the exhibition through cooperation between government and private sector institutions represents an important marketing platform that brings together tourism, travel, banking and airline services under one roof.
He added that the exhibition highlights the latest developments and trends in the travel and tourism sector, while showcasing the presence of Omani tourism companies and institutions.
For her part, Samira Suleiman Al Zadjali, Assistant Director for Administrative Affairs and Human Resources Development at the Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate, said that the second edition of the exhibition has expanded in scope and diversity through the participation of multiple sectors, including tourism, education and banking.
She noted that the exhibition provides an opportunity for employees in the education sector and students to benefit from the offers and services available and to explore various tourist destinations.
Meanwhile, Hussein Ali Al Balushi, Director of the Department of Educational Facilities and Services, said that the exhibition serves as an integrated platform bringing together private sector services related to travel, tourism and banking, reflecting cooperation between government institutions and the private sector.
