Tropical storm Shaheen has intensified into Cyclone Category 1 : Oman Met

Muscat: The National Committee for the Management of Emergency Situations calls on everyone, in a statement regarding the tropical situation, “Shaheen”, to abide by what is issued by the competent authorities, obtain information from official sources, follow the instructions and instructions issued by it, and take precautionary measures.

The committee confirms its follow-up to the developments of the tropical situation and its expected effects on the Sultanate’s lands, and has begun activating the plans of the national system, sub-committees, sectors and concerned authorities in the governorates expected to be affected by the tropical situation and directed to take what is necessary in order to raise its readiness and enhance its resources and capabilities to deal with the effects of the expected situation and limit its damage.
