Trucks weighing 3 tons and above are permitted to pass 24-hours
Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to thanks the Supreme Committee to study scopes for a mechanism to handle developments resulting from novel coronavirus (Covid-19) for their efforts and cooperation by allowing trucks weighing 3 tons and above to pass through checkpoints without using the 24-hour transit permit.
To facilitate the movement of commodities through checkpoint during lockdown period, the Chamber notes that truck drivers must adhere to the precautionary measures adopted and not to take any escorts while passing, not to interact with others, and return directly to the place of residence when the missing is accomplished. Says Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
