Muscat: Two Omani fishermen who were missing at sea in Al Ashkharah in South Sharqiyah governorate have been found after 10 days search by merchant vessel sailing off near Pakistan coast.

Jassem al-Jaafari, a relative of the missing, Salem and Ali, said that they were found in good health.

Jassim confirmed that the two missing persons had lost their boat’s engine at sea, but God had mercy on them with a wind that took them off the Pakistani coast, where a merchant ship found them and provided them with assistance.

He stated that one of them was keeping the number of one of his friends, as he called him and reassured him about their condition, noting that the contact was for a short period, and that they are now on a commercial ship that will arrive in Pakistan within two days.

The citizens, Abdullah bin Humaid Al-Saadi and Jassim Al-Jaafari, valued the government’s efforts from all military and civil authorities, which continued to search tirelessly, as well as the cooperation and cohesion of the citizens of this country.

Ali and Salem went out on Thursday, June 9, 2022, on a hunting trip, as usual, but they did not return on that day, so the competent authorities were informed of their loss.

The competent authorities, including the Royal Oman Police represented by the Police Aviation, Coast Guard boats, Civil Defense, and the Royal Air Force, have conducted search operations since the day of reporting and have harnessed all their efforts to do so.

The news of their finding spread joy to the families of the missing and all citizens, as he witnessed the hashtag #missing_al-Ashkhara and #rescue_the missing in interaction with the news of the finding of Salem bin Saeed bin Rashid Al-Jaafari and Ali bin Salem Al-Jaafari.

“Arabiandaily” monitors the tweets of the joy of finding them and what the citizens expressed in the two hashtags on the Twitter platform:
