Two projects to serve taxi drivers and users in Sohar

Sohar: Sohar Municipality continues to implement its service projects for various groups of society, including two projects that serve taxi drivers in a number of locations in the Wilayat of Sohar in the North Al Batinah Governorate. To taxi drivers at five locations in the state.

Engineer Malik bin Saleh Al-Rushdi, Projects Engineer in Sohar Municipality, explained that the taxi waiting hall project is being worked on in the Falaj Al Qabail area on the Sohar – Al Buraimi road, in the stage of the ground bridges currently. The hall was designed in a modern style on a total area of ​​173 square meters. It has two halls, one for men and the other for women, with a capacity of 35 people with a number of other facilities. It is the second hall implemented by the municipality in the Wilayat of Sohar, after the opening of the first hall located near the Sohar Bridge.

He added: The second and ongoing project is to construct 5 waiting rooms for taxi drivers, and the project is being implemented in each of the following areas in Sohar: Al Hambar Commercial, Al Waqibah next to Sohar Bridge, Al Turaif opposite Safeer Mall, Falaj Al Qabail area opposite the industrial area, and Muwailih. Next to Sohar Hospital, on an area of ​​40 square meters for each waiting room, each one can accommodate 14 people.

It is noteworthy that the construction works are being prepared to start soon by the company specialized in construction work, at the sites that have been identified in the state.
