Muscat: The latest weather updates and analysis of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicate that an upper air trough will likely affect the Sultanate of Oman starting from tomorrow Tuesday, 24 January 2023 until Saturday, 28 January 2023.
Clouds advection and isolated rain with occasional thundershowers are expected over the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, A’Dhahira, A’Dakhiliya, and Muscat.
Clouds cover is expected to gradually extend to the governorates of North A’Sharqiyah, South A’Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar. The peak of the effect is expected during the upcoming Wednesday and Thursday. The highest expected amounts of rainfall will cover the northern governorates.
The Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precaution during rainfall and wadies flow and to check the visibility and sea state before sailing and follow the issued weather bulletins & reports.
