UTAS A’Rustaq Hosts Education Forum to Align Graduates with Labour Market

UTAS Forum Highlights Quality Education and Teacher Competencies in Oman

A’Rustaq:  The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in A’Rustaq organised the Educational Partners Forum today, with the participation of representatives from education directorates across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The forum aims to enhance the quality of educational outcomes and align them with labour market requirements.

The programme included a scientific session featuring two working papers. The first, presented by Dr. Badr Saif Al Kindi, Director of the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education office, addressed quality assurance in teacher preparation programmes.

The second paper, delivered by Dr. Khadija Ahmed Al Balushi, Director of the Applied Sciences Supervision Department at the Ministry of Education, focused on the competencies of Omani teachers.

The forum also featured specialised workshops to assess graduate attributes, evaluate competitiveness and explore ways to enhance professional capabilities.

On the sidelines of the event, an initiative titled “Extended Impact” was launched for graduates of the College of Education in A’Rustaq.

The forum concluded with the honouring of participants and organisers.
