

Muscat: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) is preparing tomorrow (Sunday) to receive 9,433 male and female students from general diploma graduates accepted for the academic year 2023-2024, distributed among all branches of the university, including 4,623 male and 4,800 female students, and 52 male and female students were also accepted.
The number of students accepted in the university branch in Muscat reached 1,693 male and female students, followed by the university branch in Nizwa with 1,295 male and female students, 1,118 male and female students in the Salalah branch, and approximately 1,000 male and female students in each of the university branches in Shinas, Al Musannah, Ibra and Ibri.
The number of students accepted in Sohar reached 394 male and female students, 338 male and female students in the university branch in Sur, 298 students accepted in the teacher preparation program in the university branch in Rustaq, and 139 male and female students in the university branch in Musandam. The university is organizing an induction week for students from September 10 to 14, with the semester starting on the 17 of the same month.

The university supports initiatives that are approved in accordance with national trends, including accepting students into the Omani program for cultural cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries. It is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, and allows students from brotherly and friendly countries residing in the Sultanate of Oman who have completed their twelfth grade studies.
In one of the Omani schools or international schools in the Sultanate of Oman, applying for these scholarships is free of fees to study at the university, by registering in the Unified Admission Center. During this academic year, the university seeks to create and provide a suitable environment for education, in addition to everything that supports the advancement of education in the Sultanate of Oman, and the infrastructure, educational and service facilities it requires.
