UTAS Musandam to receive first batch of 150 students in February

Khasab: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Musandam Branch, announced that it will receive the first batch of students during next February for the academic year 2023/2024.

Dr. Ahmed bin Saeed Al Shehri, Assistant President of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Musandam, told the Oman News Agency: The university will include 3 specific specializations: economics and business administration, information and computer technology, and educational studies. It will include 6 academic programs. In economics and business administration, it includes the program for financial technology, digital business, and analytics.

As for information technology and computer technology, it will include the program for website technologies, mobile devices, and cloud computing. As for educational studies, it includes two programs: a first-field teacher and a second-field teacher.

He stated that the university will receive 150 students in the first batch of students, 100 of whom will major in educational studies, and 50 in economics, business administration, information technology, and computers.

He explained that the establishment of the branch of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Musandam aims to develop Musandam Governorate to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development by developing qualified human resources in various fields to achieve the requirements of comprehensive sustainable development and creating a supportive environment for scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship. This contributes to building knowledge, national capabilities, and effective cooperation in various institutions and society.
