UTAS Nizwa celebrates graduation of 729 students

Nizwa: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Nizwa celebrated the graduation of 729 male and female students at the diploma, advanced diploma and bachelor’s levels from the colleges of engineering, technology, economics, business administration, creative industries, and computer and information sciences.

Dr. Muhammad bin Rashid Al-Maamari, Assistant President of the University at Nizwa Branch, said: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Nizwa has devoted its efforts with planning and elaborate organization to arm its students with technical competence skills and knowledge of applied sciences, in light of a firm interest in employing the data of the accelerating knowledge revolution, with broad interests in equipping them with the skills of the future And refining their activities and talents, which makes the graduate a complete personality with knowledge formation and skill excellence that qualifies him to work professionally and to raise the level of productivity.

Al-Maamari added that the university’s Nizwa branch has crowned its bids in various fields with distinguished achievements, the most important of which was obtaining research funding for seven projects from the institutional support program from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

The branch also won the award for the best documentary film by a student in the Department of Mass Communication at the Al-Batinah Festival. Cinema of the Year, first and second place in the field of structural packaging in the First Arab Packaging Competition for Designers and Professionals in Lebanon, and first, second and third place in the field of visual design in the same competition.

The ceremony was sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Nameer bin Salem Al Said, and in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Hamad Al-Rubaie, President of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, and members of the University Council.

The graduation ceremony included a visual presentation, honoring top students at the university, and handing over certificates to male and female graduates.
