UTAS Shinas, Sohar celebrates graduation of 500 students

Shinas: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences, with its branches Shinas and Sohar, celebrates the graduation of 550 male and female graduates from various specializations under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik Al Said, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Hamad Al-Rubaie, President of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, and His Excellency Mohammed bin Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.

The total number of male and female graduates from the College of Engineering and Technology reached 273, the College of Computer and Information Sciences 186, and the College of Economics and Business Administration 91. While the number of the first graduates reached 25 male and female graduates from the university’s branches in Shinas and Sohar.

Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Assistant President of the University Branch in Shinas, stressed the keenness of the University Branches in Shinas and Sohar to ensure the quality of teaching and learning, hone the skills of their students in various fields, strive to achieve academic excellence, and focus on the main goals of the university through which it seeks to build a sustainable knowledge society, which was It has a significant impact on achieving many achievements, whether at the level of the Sultanate of Oman or at the regional and international levels.

Al Balushi also pointed out the interest of the university’s branches in Shinas and Sohar in scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and considered them to be the pillars of the university’s strategic plan, creating a supportive environment for scientific research and innovation, motivating students to participate in various forums, and providing various facilities that enable them to compete with all merit.

Meanwhile, graduate Abdullah bin Saif Al-Maamari from the College of Economics and Business Administration delivered the graduates’ speech in which he expressed the joy of all graduates on this day and their feelings of pride and pride in having achieved success in their scientific and academic careers throughout their years of study at the university.

In conclusion, the honorable Dr. Hanifa bint Ahmed Al Qasimia gave the graduation statement to the male and female graduates. The sponsor of the ceremony, along with Dr. Hanifa Al Qasimia, Assistant to the President at the University’s branch in Sohar, honored the top graduates, in addition to handing over certificates to the male and female graduates from various specializations.
